SRS-SD 1000
Truly portable soil respiration system that offers researchers superior performance for a variety of applications including spatial distribution studies.
ADC BioScientific has developed the SRS series, the SRS-1000 and SRS-2000, two truly portable soil respiration systems that offer researchers superior performance for a variety of applications including spatial distribution studies.
The SRS-1000 is a truly portable soil respiration measurement system.
The ultra compact design, weighing only 2kg, makes the SRS-1000 suitable for even the most remote field locations. It will work continuously for up to 10 hours from a single battery charge.
It is light enough to be carried by a shoulder strap or even worn on a belt.
Working in an “Open system” operational mode means that the SRS-1000 provides highly accurate analysis in both low and high activity soils.
A graphical display allows easy monitoring of soil flux trends and the real time plotting of experimental curves.
The SRS-2000 features additional facilities for more sophisticated soil flux experiments.
Both CO2 and H2O can be automatically controlled inside the chamber. They can be controlled at single concentrations or automatically at sequential levels.
This allows soil flux to be determined at different CO2 concentrations, whilst the ability to dry air within the chamber prevents condensation occurring when working with soils of high moisture content.
For working with soils with extremely high levels of CO2 flux an extended 0-3000ppm CO2 range is provided with the SRS-2000.
The SRS-2000 features a number of expanded graphical functions further enhancing the versatility and interactivity of the system.
Despite these additional features the SRS-2000 weighs only 4.4kg and will work continuously for up to 16 hours from a single charge.

70 Amp-hour battery belt
This belt is designed to provide a source of power for Opti-Sciences OS5p+ and OS1p fluorometers, used at remote field sites, when recharging is problematic. Scientists also use them for extreme weather conditions. Battery charge life can be significantly reduced under extreme heat or extreme cold conditions.
Articulated locking arm
This is a tripod like accessory that allow PAR clips, The Y(II) meter, or the iFL measuring chamber to be adjusted and locked at various locations, and angles for laboratory measurement. Angles and locations can be quickly set and locked in position with a single adjustment knob.
Instrumentation not included.
Dark adaptation clip
Dark adaption clips are designed to provide an affordable yet reliable measuring solution for large populations of plants. Some Scientists buy hundreds of dark clips. The clips are built with sturdy and weather resistant yet cost effective materials. Flexible gaskets automatically seal the sample area from any light. An easy to operate slider is built-in to expose the sample surface after dark adapting.

PAR Clip
Opti-Sciences digital PAR clip provides both Photosynthetic Area Radiation measurements and highly accurate leaf temperature using modern thermistor technology accurate to ± 0.5oC. Its bottom opening design allows for a more convenient one-handed operation.
Tripod with articulated arm
This is a large universal tripod that also includes the FL-ARM stand. It can be used for trees or other larger plants. At the top of the tripod is an articulating arm that allows the PAR clip to be adjusted to almost any angle or position. The articulating arm may also be used with a base plate that comes with the FL-T stand, for use in the laboratory, on smaller plants.
